bell hooks @ Eugene Lang College

Hey Everyone! The UTSC Equity & Diversity Office is hosting an event called "What is Feminism?" that will run from March 17-20. It involves an opportunity to have your art featured in Gallery 1265 from March 17-19. We are accepting any art submissions pertaining to the subject of feminism or experiences you may have had or would like to express as a woman. The purpose is to represent what feminism means to students on campus, and demystify what feminism actually is.

The UTSC Women & Trans* Centre in collaboration with the Scarborough Campus Anti-Racism Subcommittee presents the 3rd Annual Conference - STORIES OF RESISTANCE, Art has always been a means of expression and resistance, this year the Women and Trans Centre is taking that belief and creating workshops that are interactive. We will also examine the importance of building inclusive and intersectional feminism in our communities through means of art as a form of expression. UTSC students, faculty and Scarborough community members are invited to participate and engage in essential conversations around gender, race, sexuality, class, ability, power, privilege, community and solidarity. The conference is a day-long event followed by keynotes by Ayesha A. Siddiqi and Harsha Walia. TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
